DAY 1 - IRELAND / RIO
Fly to Paris, Madrid or Heathrow and connect with your international flight to Rio de Janeiro.
DAY 2 - RIO
Morning arrival in Rio and transfer to your chosen hotel for 2 nights. Remainder of today at leisure. (NM)
DAY 3 - RIO
After breakfast, you will be picked up to enjoy a half-day city tour of this incredible city. Rest of the day at leisure to experience the magic of Rio. (B)
DAY 4 - RIO / AMAZON
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your early flights to Manaus via Brasilia. On arrival, transfer by boat to your chosen Jungle Lodge for 2 nights. (B, D)
DAY 5 - AMAZON
After breakfast, take a morning walking tour through the jungle. After lunch, enjoy a canoe trip with alligator flashlight spotting before a visit to a native’s house. Return for dinner and overnight (the order of the days activities may change locally, depending on which Lodge you are staying at). (B, L, D)
DAY 6 - AMAZON / BRASILIA
After breakfast, depart by boat along the Amazon to Manaus, surrounded by the dense Amazon jungle. On arrival in Manaus, transfer to the airport for your flight to Brasilia. On arrival in Brasilia, transfer to your chosen hotel. (B)
DAY 7 - BRASILIA / SALVADOR
After breakfast, you will be picked up to enjoy a morning city tour of Brasilia. This unique city was purpose built to become the capital of Brazil. Afternoon at leisure. Depart for the airport for your evening flight to Salvador where the colour and tradition contrast sharply with the futuristic extravagance of Brasilia. On arrival in Salvador, transfer to your chosen hotel for 3 nights. (B)
DAY 8 - SALVADOR
After breakfast, you will be picked up to enjoy a morning city tour of Salvador. The pace here is slower and more relaxed. Narrow cobbled streets wind steeply up and down the hills on which Salvador was built and old buildings pile on top of each other to gaze out over the Bay of ‘All Saints’, whilst down towards the sea the modern city encroaches. (B)
DAY 9 - SALVADOR
After breakfast, enjoy a full day at leisure. (B)
DAY 10 - SALVADOR / IGUASSU FALLS
After breakfast, depart for the airport for your early flights to Iguassu via Brasilia and transfer to Hotel Das Cataratas for 2 nights. On arrival, you will hear the faint roar in the distance, which increases in volume to a thunder, heralding your arrival at the most amazing natural water show on earth, the Iguassu Falls. Overnight at your chosen hotel for 2 nights. (B)
DAY 11 - IGUASSU FALLS
After breakfast, you will be picked up to enjoy a morning tour of the Falls (Argentinean side). Savour the breathtaking spectacle of Iguassu Falls. View the sheer immensity of the falls, over 275 separate cataracts and falls emptying a million gallons of water every second into the foaming Parana River, a sight to make Niagara or Victoria Falls look insignificant by comparison. Take the opportunity to sample a spectacular helicopter flight, which takes you right over the Falls (at a charge). (B)
DAY 12 - IGUASSU / RIO
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your afternoon flight back to Rio de Janeiro and transfer to your chosen hotel for 2 nights. (B)
DAY 13 - RIO
Full day at leisure to enjoy the sights and sounds of this exciting city. (B)
DAY 14 - RIO / PARIS, MADRID or LONDON
After breakfast, enjoy a full day at leisure before your evening transfer to the airport for your international flight, arriving Paris, Madrid or London the following day, or extend your stay in this exciting world famous resort. (B)
DAY 15 - PARIS, MADRID or LONDON / IRELAND
Arrive Paris, Madrid or London and connect with your onward flight to Ireland.

NOTE
Accommodation in the Amazon is basic, in keeping with the eco-system of the area. Therefore, standards are relatively primitive but clean and medical facilities are limited to emergency care only. The Amazon Village accommodation featured here is non air-conditioned with cold water only. The Amazon Ecopark enjoys air-conditioning and hot water all day, except between 8.30am to 11.30am and 3.30pm to 5.30pm when the generators are switched off.
