China
This vast land which is home to over a quarter of the world’s population
remains enticing and enigmatic. China’s special magic, its awesome beauty
and ancient culture can now dazzle the newcomers. From Beijing, visit
the Forbidden City and The Great Wall. Stand in awe at Xian where a life
like battalion of 7,000 immobile Terracotta Warriors guard the tomb of
Emperor Qin Shi Huang Di. The Chinese experience is a pleasure. With the
increasing number of tourists discovering the pleasures of China, tailor-made
holidays featuring the main centres are available from Twohigs as shown
on this section.

Our Thoughts
A visit to China is an exciting and fascinating experience. Over the
last decade, standards of accommodation have improved dramatically and
the needs of the western traveller are well catered for. If touring during
the winter months, the north, Beijing and Xian can be very cold, whilst
the further south you travel, Shanghai and Hong Kong are milder. The majority
of touring itineraries within China are very demanding and not suitable
for people with walking difficulties. Days may be long with little leisure
time. Flight delays or cancellations do occur. All services are provided
by government agencies and itineraries, together with accommodation, can
often be altered without notice.
