Situated off the west coast of peninsular Malaysia just 45 minutes flying time from Kuala Lumpur, Penang is an ideal location to enjoy beach combing on endless golden sands washed by the waters of the Straits of Malacca which combines with the charm of its historic capital of Georgetown. An island of superb beaches, the best of which is Batu Ferringhi beach, a 2 mile stretch where you’ll find most of the major resort hotels.

Our Thoughts

Penang is more developed along the main stretch at Batu Ferringhi and enjoys its most settled and pleasant weather from November to March. It offers a wide range of local restaurants, plenty of sightseeing and good watersports. Batu Ferringhi has become more developed and at certain times of the year, jellyfish may be present in the sea.
