The Veranda Paul & Virginie Hotel & Spa is located in the village of Grand Gaube on the north coast of Mauritius approximately 75 minutes from the airport, with the lively resort of Grand Baie just 10 minutes drive away. The hotel is named after the legendary young couple immortalised by the French author Bernardin de St Pierre in his novel Paul & Virginie and is an invitation to a relaxing and romantic stay enhanced by idyllic tranquility with colonial inspired décor a subtle combination of wood, stone and thatch. Dining and bar facilities include, ‘Ile de France’ restaurant offering local cuisine, ‘La Trinquette’, tropical á la carte barefoot restaurant and the ‘St Geran’ bar. Other facilities include 2 swimming pools, floodlit tennis, the ‘Seven Colours’ Wellness Spa, beach volleyball, bowling, the Paul & Virginie library and a Blue Earth shop. Complimentary watersports facilities available from the beach include windsurfing, kayaks, pedal boats, snorkelling, glass bottom boat and a sailing boat. Other watersports facilities include catamaran cruise and a diving school and centre (all at a charge). All 81 well appointed and newly renovated Standard and Superior bedrooms are air-conditioned with television, telephone, tea and coffee facilities, shower, minibar and balcony or terrace. Superior bedrooms are as above but larger and have a bath.
