Singapore
Located at the tip of the Malay Peninsula, just 1 degree above the Equator,
the ‘Lion City’, is surprisingly green with many lush tropical gardens
to enjoy. Friendly people, exotic cultures, excellent shopping, world
class hotels and a summer that lasts all year. From the modernistic face
of the Orient’s financial clearing house to the mystique and fascination
of Chinatown, from the colonial grandeur of Raffles, to the tranquillity
of the Botanical Gardens. It remains a legendary part of Asia where modern
skyscrapers house glittering shopping malls and deluxe hotels offer a
striking contrast to the still evident traditional lifestyle of old Singapore.
The island of Sentosa is about 20 minutes from downtown Singapore and
is linked by a causeway and cable car. A fabulous, fun packed island with
a great deal of attractions and activities such as theme parks, water
rides and a golf course to keep you entertained, Sentosa is perfect for
those wanting a beach holiday near the city of Singapore.

Our Thoughts
It is true to say that much of the Singapore that Sir Stamford Raffles
would have recognised no longer exists - swept away on a tide of modernisation.
So don’t expect the city to epitomise the mystical magical Orient. Singapore
is one of the safest countries in the world. English is widely spoken
and the public transport system is excellent, cheap and easy to work out.
In fact, you have the best of both worlds in this lush, clean, orderly
city with the dramatic high-rise skyline side by side with traditional
ethnic cultures. There is a lot to do on the ‘fantasy island of Sentosa’
and perfect for those wanting a beach holiday very near the city of Singapore.
