With its unique romantic ambience, Kings Camp invites guests to relax in the bushveld in fine colonial style. Situated in the world-famous Timbavati Private Nature Reserve (part of the greater Kruger National Park), the camp is a game-viewing haven that features elephant, lion, leopard, rhino and buffalo. Facilities at Kings Camp include a lounge, dining room, bar, pool terrace and game viewing platform which all overlook a very active waterhole. Other facilities include the refreshing swimming pool, a curio shop, a gym, a library, a wine cellar and a ‘Therapy Lapa’ offering Spa treatments (at a charge). All 10 traditional thatched luxury suites are beautifully appointed with air-conditioning, a private verandah, tea and coffee facilities, indoor and outdoor shower, mosquito nets, telephone and minibar.

How to get there

Kings Camp is about 45 minutes drive from Eastgate (Hoedspruit) airport and approximately 6 hours drive from Johannesburg airport. Private transfers can be arranged from Eastgate airport to and from Kings Camp. The return cost is approximately €87 per person. The lodge can also be reached by charter flights from Johannesburg airport direct into Kings Camp airstrip and prices are available on request.
