Motswari Private Game Reserve is located in the heart of ‘Big Five’ game country on 40,000 acres in the Timbavati private nature reserve. It borders the unfenced Kruger National Park resulting in a constant flow of wildlife through the reserve. Lodge facilities include a traditional open air boma (restaurant), a spacious lounge and bar overlooking a beautiful dam, an art gallery exhibiting original wildlife art and a refreshing swimming pool. Activities include open vehicle game drives each morning and evening, or for the more adventurous, tracking on foot. Qualified rangers, accompanied by skilled trackers, will do their utmost to ensure you get the best possible sightings in an area renowned for its frequent sightings of the ‘Big Five’. Accommodation consists of 15 luxury thatched bedrooms all commanding spectacular bush and river views. All bedrooms are air-conditioned with overhead fans and bath/shower. Note: Motswari is not open to children under 6 years.

How to get there

Motswari Game Lodge is about 45 minutes drive from Eastgate (Hoedspruit) airport and just over 6 hours drive from Johannesburg airport. Private transfers can be arranged from Eastgate airport to Motswari. 01 Jan to 31 Nov 2008. The return cost is approximately €119 per person.
