The Berjaya Langkawi Beach & Spa Resort, which boasts a 'Harmony with Nature' ethos, is spread over 70 acres of hillside at the edge of the tropical rainforest in Burau Bay, approximately 20 minutes from the airport and has a 24 hour shuttle service running between the chalets and the hotel’s main facilities. Accommodation is scattered over a large area in wooden Malay style chalets, built on stilts amongst the trees and also in the water. There is a choice of restaurants and bars, a fun pub and lobby lounge. Other facilities include a swimming pool with swim-up bar, children’s pool, Jacuzzi, whirlpool, tennis courts, cycling, the ‘Ayura’ Spa and watersports at the beach include windsurfing, canoeing, sailing and snorkelling (at a charge). All 502 Superior Chalet Greenview, Deluxe Chalet and Premier Chalet on Water bedrooms are designed in a contemporary Malay style and built on stilts. All chalets are air-conditioned with bath/shower, television, telephone, minibar and balcony. Deluxe Chalet bedrooms are as above and have partial seaview (the view from some of the rooms may be restricted because of forest trees). Premier Chalet on Water offer a stunning view of the Andaman Sea with extra large private balcony furnished with deck chairs, that allows fishing right from the balcony. Note: Due to the hotel’s extensive grounds it is not recommended for anyone with walking difficulties.
