DESTINATIONS

Located 200 miles south east and 50 minutes flying time from Bangkok, Koh Chang is the largest island of the 52 island marine National Park, untouched by modernisation and with all their natural resources still intact. This qualifies the park as a dream escape and a true hideaway from city life. Koh Chang, surprisingly, is the second largest island in Thailand, next to Phuket. Despite its size, it remains a secluded and unspoilt island of pristine rainforest, untrekked jungles, breathtaking waterfalls, secluded beaches with spectacular coastlines and a clear blue sea.
Koh Chang is a secret retreat yet to be explored with nearly 75% of the Marine Park protected by law. This explains why it remains a virtual virgin wonderland shielded from vigorous developments, hence the lack of infrastructure and population. As with other remote areas of Thailand, entertainment and dining is centred around the hotel with little or no night life available. However, Koh Chang offers a fabulous location for a honeymoon ‘getaway’ with its wonderful beaches and stunning natural surroundings waiting to be explored.
Koh Chang is accessed by a 50 minute flight from Bangkok airport to Trat airport with Bangkok Airways. On arrival at Trat airport, you will be transfered by car to the ferry port (approximately 30 minutes), where you will board a ferry for your 40 minute journey to Koh Chang ferry port. Your onward transfer to the Amari Emerald Cove Resort will take approximately 15 minutes and to the Aiyapura Resort & Spa, approximately 5 minutes.
